Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a 90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformers – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for earth.
The Transformer movies are a series of science fiction action films that are based on the popular Transformers toy and cartoon franchise. The movies feature a mix of live-action footage and computer-generated imagery (CGI). The films follow the story of the Transformers, a group of alien robots who can transform into vehicles, as they battle for control of the universe.
The first Transformers movie was released in 2007 and was a huge commercial success, grossing over $700 million worldwide. It was followed by four sequels, with the most recent one, “Transformers: The Last Knight”, released in 2017. The movies have been criticized for their reliance on special effects and explosions over story and character development, but they have also been praised for their exciting action sequences and faithful portrayal of the Transformers characters. A spinoff film, “Bumblebee”, was released in 2018.
