The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has approved Centra Gas’s application to decrease the current Primary Gas rate from $0.1464/m3 to $0.1352/m3 starting August 1, 2023.
Gas rates continue to go down in Manitoba. They were as high as $0.2055/m3 in 2022.
The average residential customer is expected to save around $28 a year.
Rates will be reviewed again on November 1, 2023. Primary gas is currently a pass-through cost for Centra. The company charges customers what it pays and doesn’t make a profit.
