Here’s what’s open and closed during the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Monday, October 2, 2023.
Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

All Winnipeg Public Libraries will be closed on Saturday, September 30 and Monday, October 2.

Recreation & Leisure
Indoor Pools and Fitness & Leisure Centres
Select facilities will have reduced public hours on Saturday, September 30. All other indoor recreation facilities will be closed on Saturday, September 30.

The Animal Services Agency will be closed on Saturday, September 30 and open on Monday, October 2 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm

Cemeteries
