About Pinoy Tribe Entertainment
Established in May 2012 by Marby John Aguilar and his partner, Cesar Lorenzo, Pinoy Tribe Entertainment has a clear mission: to bring the finest concerts and events to Winnipeg. The inception of this venture sprouted from Marby’s vision to organize small-scale events in the city. The breakthrough occurred when he successfully negotiated Winnipeg’s inclusion in the North American tour of renowned Filipino acts Parokya Ni Edgar and Gloc-9 in November 2011, where he assumed the role of line producer. With the support of friends and volunteers, the event was a resounding success, earning Marby recognition in the industry.
The company’s inaugural major event took place at the Burton Cummings Theatre in August 2012, featuring the successful concert of Bamboo. This achievement was followed by a philanthropic endeavor, “Sagip Kababayan,” a fundraising social held in September 2012 to aid the flood victims in the Philippines. All proceeds from this event were donated to Sagip Kapamilya and Fil-Can Manitoba Disaster Relief Funds.
Other artists that Pinoy Tribe Entertainment has brought to Winnipeg include: Parokya Ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Ely Buendia of Eraserheads, Charice Pempengco, Joey G of Side A, Nina, Mr. David Pomeranz, the comedic duo Jose&Wally, JayR, Ms. Jaya, Mr. Ogie Alcasid, the Songbird Mrs. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, the Eraserheads, pinoy pop group SB19 and the Unkabogable Vice Ganda.
The success of various events over the past decade has solidified Pinoy Tribe Entertainment’s position as one of the premier concert and events producers in Winnipeg, poised to continue its success in the years to come.
