Effective immediately, the City of Winnipeg is enforcing a new policy for vehicle owners with 3 or more unpaid parking tickets.
Under the policy, your vehicle will be towed and impounded if you have three or more outstanding parking tickets and you are caught committing another parking offence.
You will not need to pay the full amount of your outstanding parking ticket debt to retrieve your vehicle from the impound lot. But you will need to pay the towing fee, storage fees, and any applicable administration fees.
There is no limit to the number of times your vehicle can be towed and impounded, so long as you still have three or more outstanding parking tickets and are issued another one.
