If you’re a parent/guardian who isn’t a fan of Winnipeg’s chilly October weather, then you’ll want to check out some of Winnipeg’s safe Trick-or-Treating options at various shopping malls. The best part? You can get some early Christmas shopping done at the same time!


What is Safe Trick-or-Treating?

On Halloween, kids can collect candy by going store-to-store at the mall instead of door-to-door in the chilly weather. Parent’s have peace of mind that their kids are safe from traffic and the grueling Winnipeg weather

What Winnipeg malls are offering Safe Trick-or-Treating?

St. Vital Centre (Thursday, October 31)

Trick-or-Treat at St. Vital Centre. Skip the cold and join them for a fun, safe Halloween indoors! Dress up in your spookiest costume and visit participating stores for treats.

October 31 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.


CF Polo Park (Thursday, October 31)

There are no indoor trick or treating event planned at CF Polo Park this year, however some stores may be handing out treats while supplies last.

Garden City Shopping Centre (Thursday, October 31)

Back By Popular Demand!

Safe Trick or Treating is back this year and Garden City is once again bringing all the dinosaur fun!

Join them Thursday October 31st from 11:00am – 3:00pm for a roaring good time with Applause Events and their massive Dinosaur interactive exhibit including bounce houses, mini golf all the dino photo ops and so much more.

This event is free and registration is not required. An adult is required to be with their child at all times.


Kildonan Place Shopping Centre (Thursday, October 31)

Kildonan Place is hosting little Halloween trick-or-treaters at the mall on October 31st from 2:00pm – 4:00pm! Go from store to store to collect goodies, and show off your costume in weather-protected comfort!

Plus, pick up a Halloween Passport at Guest Services, and visit participating tenants for a stamp! Bring your completed passport back to Guest Services November 1-7, and receive a $10 gift card* or other fun prize!

*200 $10 gift cards available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Must be claimed by passport holder (child under 12), accompanied by parent or guardian between November 1-7, 2024. Stamps much match example shown at Guest Services. One passport per child. Photocopies, scans, or photos of completed passports will not be accepted. Promotion ends November 7, 2024 at 8:00pm.
