It’s back! Every Friday evening during the month of August 2025, Assiniboine Park will once again provide free family entertainment at the Lyric Theatre with Movies in the Park. They’ll be screening favourite summer blockbusters on a cinema-style outdoor screen. All you have to do is bring a chair, blanket and some snacks!
All events and performances are open to the public and FREE thanks to generous sponsorship and donor support.

Will food and drinks be available for purchase?
Yes. A concession at the Lyric Theatre will be open and selling popcorn, ice cream treats, and other tasty snacks.
The Leaf Coffee Bar serves grab-and-go beverages, snacks, lunches, and treats! Located in The Leaf, the coffee bar is accessible to all Park visitors, without admission to the biomes. Open daily, 9:00am – 8:00pm!
The Park Café Treats Window is located on the outside of the Park Café building near the Riley family Duck Pond, and serves snacks, beverages, and ice cream for take-out! Open daily, 9:00am – 4:00pm.
