Flo Rida, born Tramar Dillard in Miami Gardens, Florida, rose to international fame with his 2007 debut single Low featuring T-Pain, which spent ten consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Since then, he has released a long list of multi-platinum singles including Right Round, Club Can’t Handle Me, Good Feeling, Wild Ones, Whistle, My House, and I Cry. Over the course of his career, Flo Rida has sold more than 100 million singles worldwide and earned a Grammy nomination. Outside of music, Flo Rida founded the Big Dreams for Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports youth athletes and leadership programs in Florida. He also heads International Music Group, where he has supported artists such as Natalie LaRose and 6lack.
Kardinal Offishall, known for blending hip-hop with reggae and dancehall influences, will open the Winnipeg show. His 2008 hit Dangerous featuring Akon made him the first Canadian rapper to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with major artists including Rihanna, Drake, Lady Gaga, and Busta Rhymes, and has built a reputation as one of Canada’s most influential hip-hop voices.
Fans in Winnipeg can expect a mix of Flo Rida’s biggest hits and Kardinal Offishall’s high-energy performance when the two take the stage at Canada Life Centre on October 1.
