The Costco Business Centre at 1315 St. James Street is officially opening its doors on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 7:00 AM, bringing a new kind of wholesale shopping experience to Winnipeg. Unlike a traditional Costco warehouse, this location is designed specifically for businesses, restaurants, and bulk buyers… but everyday shoppers are still welcome!
Costco Winnipeg Business Centre Hours
This new Business Centre will operate with extended hours to better serve commercial customers. It will be open:
- Monday to Saturday: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The earlier opening times make it especially convenient for small business owners who need to stock up before the workday begins.
What Products Are Available at a Costco Winnipeg Business Centre?
Inside, you’ll find a very different product mix compared to a standard Costco. The focus is heavily on bulk and business-oriented items, including larger quantities of fresh meat, dairy, and produce, as well as commercial-grade kitchen supplies, restaurant packaging, cleaning products, and beverages. Expect a wider selection of snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items that cater to convenience stores and food service operations. However, you won’t find some of the typical Costco staples like clothing, books, electronics, or seasonal décor.
Is there a Food Court at the Costco Winnipeg Business Centre?
One of the biggest differences shoppers will notice is the absence of a food court. Unlike traditional Costco warehouses, the Business Centre does not include the popular hot dog and pizza counter, so you won’t be able to grab a quick bite after shopping.
Can I Use my Regular Membership at the Costco Winnipeg Business Centre?
The good news for existing members is that your current Costco membership works perfectly at the Business Centre! There’s no need for a separate card or upgrade. Whether you’re a Gold Star or Executive member, you’ll have full access to shop this location just like any other Costco.
This new Winnipeg location replaces the former warehouse setup in the area and marks a shift toward serving the city’s growing small business community. For shoppers who prefer less crowded aisles and a more streamlined, bulk-focused selection, the Business Centre could quickly become a go-to alternative.
