Mardi Gras Parade

Join us on February 17 as we celebrate Mardi Gras with a parade in the New Orleans fashion — with a bit of a Winnipeg twist. Winnipeggers of all ages are invited to march down the Red River Mutual Trail. Dress festively (and warmly!), bring a noisemaker, and laissez les bons temps rouler!

The procession will begin at 3:30 on the Red River Mutual Trail behind the Provincial Legislature, concluding at Festival du Voyageur Rendez-Vous On Ice at The Forks. The parade is free and we encourage you to bike, bring the kids, a toboggan, and have some fun! If you’re driving, we advise parking at The Forks and walking down to the muster point.

The Mardi Gras parade is a partnership of Jazz Winnipeg, Festival du Voyageur and The Forks. It is the warm-up to Jazz Winnipeg’s Mardi Gras party at 7:30 pm inside Union Station. Tickets for the evening event are available at JazzWinnipeg.com.
