Keycon is Manitoba’s premier Science Fiction & Fantasy Literary Convention. It focuses on science fiction, fantasy and related literary genres in any form. It includes, but is not limited to, writing, visual arts, television and film.
“Monty and Max and Vampyres! Oh My!”
This year we are celebrating:
-the 50th anniversary of Monty Python
-the 40th anniversary of Mad Max
-the 200th anniversary of “The Vampyre” appearing in print
-and the 80th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz.
We have several special events planned through out the year like:
-the Wasteland LARP with the Frontier LARP
-Monty Python Halloween Social at the beginning of October
-Vampyre theme game
-and Keycon Lite in January
Keycon will also host a Live Steel HEMA Tournament over the Victoria Day (May Long) Weekend with a viewing gallery.
