Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra: Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto

Tchaikovsky’s elegant and romantic Violin Concerto is so beloved, we often forget it was first considered unplayable. But today’s leading violinists master yesterday’s most fiendish difficulties and have made it an evergreen staple to music lovers. Soloist Vadim Gluzman will perform on the very Stradivari violin which Tchaikovsky had in mind when writing the work.
