About the PGI Concert for a Cause:
The PGI Concert for a Cause will be a night for people to come together in support of the JHSM Literacy Program while bringing awareness to the specific challenges that many of our students face. The night will offer live music, a poetry reading, raffle prizes, awards, and complimentary snacks catered by Feast Cafe Bistro.
We are thrilled to share that the music performers taking the stage will be Sierra Noble and Super Duty Tough Work! We are equally excited to share that our poet laureate of the night will be Scott Nolan!
About the JHSM Literacy Program:
The John Howard Society of Manitoba supports men in conflict with the law – before, during and after incarceration. The JHSM Literacy Program supports Learners who are interested in improving the basic literacy skills they need for school, work, parenting, and community participation. In addition to improving work and education prospects, building literacy skills can be empowering for people who have had negative experiences with school or who have never had the opportunity to develop a love of learning.
