2016 was a monumental year for South Carolina rock band NEEDTOBREATHE. Their new album H A R D L O V E, released via Atlantic Records/Warner Music Canada, topped Billboard’s Top Albums chart as well as Top Current, Rock and Alternative Albums charts. Rolling Stone called the foursome an “anomaly in the current pop-music landscape,” with People Magazine commending that the band “adds synths and infectious pop melodies to their signature Southern rock…It’s easy to love.”
2017 will see the GRAMMY-nominated band known for the dynamic energy of their live shows embark on a Canadian tour, beginning on May 11 at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall. Friends of the band and previous tour support act Colony House will open select dates. Full show dates are below.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 27.
ABOUT NEEDTOBREATHE:
NEEDTOBREATHE is a GRAMMY-nominated rock band hailing from South Carolina, comprised of brothers Bear Rinehart (vocals, guitar) and Bo Rinehart (guitar, vocals, strings), Seth Bolt (bass, vocals) and Josh Lovelace (keys, vocals). Highlighted by the lead single “HAPPINESS,” their new album H A R D L O V E was released on July 2016 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Albums, Top Current Albums, Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts as well as No. 2 on the Billboard 200, their greatest debut yet. In Canada, the band scored their highest chart debuts, entering the Nielsen SoundScan Current and Top Album charts at No. 3.
H A R D L O V E is the follow-up to 2014’s Rivers In the Wasteland, which debuted at No. 3 overall on the Billboard 200 and garnered the group their first GRAMMY nomination. Rivers In the Wasteland also spawned the RIAA-certified Gold single, “Brother (feat. Gavin DeGraw)” as well as a pair of Billboard Music Award nominations.
