The West End Cultural Centre will continue to require that patrons wear facemasks and show proof of vaccination for all events in the venue. We will continue to evaluate this policy as circumstances evolve.

In the throes of raising a combined 12 children (including triplets), muddling their way through adult corporate land, building violins, and putting out actual fires, New Wales have taken the pressures of day-to-day life and turned it into an impressive creative pace. The indie rock band is made up of Winnipeg music scene stalwarts. Lead singers David Pankratz (Quinzy, Federal Lights) and Sandy Taronno (Quinzy, Indicator Indicator) are joined by Rusty Robot (Rusty Robot, Imaginary Cities), Matthew Harder (Spirit of the West), Christy Taronno (Paper Machetes), and Conally MacLean.
Over the past year the band has released 8 singles along with accompanying videos, wrote and have nearly finished recording a new album (produced by Rusty Matyas), signed a music placement deal with Dawn Patrol Music, and were recently nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for ‘Rock Artist of the Year’.
The 8 singles and videos released over the past year, along with strong, sold-out shows in their hometown of Winnipeg, MB have helped the band develop a solid, loyal fan-base and the band looks forward to using that momentum to launch their upcoming Spring 2023 album release.
