Winnipeg BBQ and Blues Festival

The two day event takes place August 16 to 17 at Shaw Park and will feature the best in local, national and international blues performers along with the Winnipeg Free Press Pit Masters BBQ competition.
The Winnipeg Free Press Pit Masters Championship is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned BBQ competition. Open to amateurs and professionals, contestants from many regions of Canada and the United States will be competing for points and prizes. The coveted prize for the “Grand Champion” will include an automatic invite to the World Food Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as a chance at an invitation to the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue Competition in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
Saturday and Sunday are sure to bring other special food and barbecue events and activities. Stay tuned for more details.
Other events will include an artisan’s village, food vendors, multiple beverage gardens, and BBQ and other food demonstrations.
