Every Friday evening during the month of August, Assiniboine Park will once again provide free family entertainment on the Lyric Lawn with Movies in the Park. They’ll be screening favourite summer blockbusters on a cinema-style outdoor screen. All you have to do is bring a chair, blanket and some snacks!
Here’s the very impressive line up for this years Movies in the Park:
August 1
- Early Feature (7:00 pm): The Croods
- Late Feature (9:15 pm): Divergent
August 8
- Early Feature (7:00 pm): The Lego Movie
- Late Feature (9:15 pm): The Amazing Spider-Man 2
August 15
- Early Feature (7:00 pm): Despicable Me 2
- Late Feature (9:15 pm): Skyfall
August 22
- Early Feature (7:00 pm): Frozen
- Late Feature (9:15 pm): The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
This is definitely one of our favourite free summer activities and it’s a unique event everyone should experience. Assiniboine Park did a real great job in selecting movies this year and we’re looking forward to a lot of them!
