It’s official. Winnipeg is getting a Lowe’s.
The American-based home improvement chain will build new location on Kenaston, north of Scurfield Boulevard and near the Red River Co-Op gas bar. It will compete directly with Rona and Home Depot.
Construction on the 106,000 sq. ft store is expected to start in late 2015 and be completed in 2016.
Currently, Winnipeg’s closest Lowe’s location is in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
