Taking a May Long-Weekend trip to Kenora? Well make sure you don’t feed the deer!
The Kenora City council is now enforcing a $500 fine for anyone caught feeding wildlife within city limits (excluding birds). The move is an attempt at keeping deer away from neighborhood areas. Deer and other wildlife have been accustomed to feeding on salt licks or food that people live in their backyards. This is no longer allowed. The key is to keep deer and other wildlife away from city and neighborhood streets for the protection of the animals and the citizens.
