What is with these tornadoes? Their frequency in formations and size have been growing with every appearance. This latest one ripped through Lake Metigoshe, 300 kilometers south of Winnipeg. Cottages were torn up, metal docks were wrapped around trees and boats went flying.

“It hit the water here and it pulled the water up right out of the lake and straight into the sky and there was a hole in the lake. And all of a sudden I looked up and it looks like Andy’s boat. It was probably 50, 60 feet in the air. Freaked me out.” – Mike Morrison, co-owner of the Turtle Mountain Resort

Cleaning has begun and the people living nearby are certainly shaken up. While they recovered from the attack, the tornado jumped the border and moved it’s way down to Rolland N.D. Homes and businesses took damage.
