Summer officially ended yesterday… and you know what that means, chillier mornings, darker mornings, and more traffic in the mornings!
If your route is anywhere near or similar to those of the 3 big institutions in Winnipeg (Red River, U of W, U of M) then expect a lot of traffic slow downs. Various traffic lights may still have not been adjusted to deal with the heavier load with all the ‘back to school’ students on the streets.
For those of you near elementary schools and high schools, expect those students to be returning this week as well. Some schools may still not have their ‘patrol’ program in effect, so keep a sharp eye out for kids crossing the street. Leave a few minutes earlier so you can reduce your speed and we all can have a safe Back to School start!
