Just south of Winnipeg, a 17 year-old male was taken into police custody after threatening to kill himself, brandishing a suspiciously described “edged weapon.” He was shot with a Tazer and is currently recovering at the Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre.
Police were alerted to the boy’s antics after the 17 year-old showed up at his girlfriend’s high school. The young man made threats toward her and her family and apparently suggested that he’d shot someone. Probably not the smartest thing to mention when you’re clearly already angry and in a school. Police were contacted and the school was locked down. Police confirmed that no shooting actually happened.
