The Swedish home furnishings company IKEA says that Winnipeg is on the top of their priority list for their Canadian expansion plans. All I can say is… FINALLY!
Though the Swedish company doesn’t expect a store to open for years, IKEA Canada Spokeswoman Madeleine Lowenborg-Frick says they have already identified a parcel of land in the city but have not signed the papers yet.
I am willing to bet my arm and leg that the parcel of land is the old Winnipeg Arena Lot!!!
