Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez will be joining Dwight Howard, Rudy Gay, and Nate Robinson for the 2009 NBA Dunk Contest on February 14, 2009.
This marks the first time in NBA History that a fan voted rookie will be in the annual Dunk Contest. Rudy Fernandez beat out Milwaukee’s Joe Alexander and Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook.
Teammate Brandon Roy will be assisting him for the partner dunks. Rudy will also be participating in the Sophomore/Rookie game on February 13 where we might get a preview of what he can do!
