The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) are having a difficult time finding good applicants to join the force. I hope its not due to the ridiculous red outfits they continue to wear after generations.
The RCMP is recruiting 2,000 cadets per year over the next few years to meet increased demands for police services across the country.
RCMP applicants must have Canadian citizenship, be 19 years or older (may begin the application process at 18), be of good character, proficient in English or French and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must also possess a valid Canadian driver’s license and meet medical/health standards.
Horse riding is not a requirement.
Head to the RCMP Employment Page for more information.
