A civic committee has approved the increase in parking fines yesterday.
New fines for parking at a meter too long:
$35 if you pay in the first 15 days (up from $25)
$70 if you pay after 15 days (up from $50)
The Winnipeg Parking Authority is also expected to increase hourly and monthly fees at city owned lots.
