Every year the city recovers hundreds of stolen and lost bicycles that are never claimed… this is what happens to them…
They are auctioned off at the Winnipeg Bicycle Auction. This years auction will be at The Varsity View Community Centre again at 4230 Ridgewood Ave. The two-day event takes place on:
Saturday, April 24 (approximately 500 bicycles to be sold):
– Public Viewing from 7:00 am to 8:45 am
– Auction begins at 9:00 am sharp
Sunday, April 25 (approximately 325 bicycles to be sold):
– Public Viewing from 10:00 am to 11:45 am
– Auction begins at 12:00 noon sharp
Payment can be made by Cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Interac (no cheques)
Bikes are sold as is with no warranty or refunds.
