Every year the city recovers hundreds of stolen and lost bicycles that are never claimed, this is what happens to them…
They are auctioned off at the Winnipeg Bicycle Auction. Approximately 500 bicycles will be auctioned off on Saturday, and approximately 350 on Sunday. There will be plenty of bikes to choose from. On-site parking is available for $2.00, with all parking proceeds going to the Varsity View Community Club. The two-day event takes place on:
Saturday, April 16 (approximately 500 bicycles to be auctioned):
– Public Viewing from 7:00 am to 8:45 am
– Auction begins at 9:00 am sharp
Sunday, April 17 (approximately 350 bicycles to be auctioned):
– Public Viewing from 10:00 am to 11:45 am
– Auction begins at 12:00 noon sharp
