The Winnipeg Jets chalked up another win this morning with the announcement of branded license plates.
Premier Greg Selinger made the announcement that the Winnipeg Jets and MPI will team up to supply Manitobans with the new license plate.
“Manitobans love their Jets and are proud to support them,” said Selinger. “This will be yet another way to celebrate the return of our NHL team while contributing to local organizations that do great work to help our young people succeed.”
The licence plates will cost around $70, with the proceeds expected to be split among MPI, the province and $30 to the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation. At least some of the proceeds with get to a charity. The plates will be available from Autopac brokers around the province on December 12, 2011 (just in time for Christmas).
