After growing tired of everyday chain restaurants, we began our search for the best hidden eateries the city has to offer. Hermanos Restaurant & Wine Bar

Their dining experience and menu is inspired by the steakhouses of Argentina and Uruguay, with flavors and seasoning blends from places like Brazil and Peru. The extensive wine list features wines that hail mostly from Chile or Argentina. The dining room and lounge are open to one another, with white linens, red-themed décor and exposed brick.
With communal-style seating and live music on the weekends, Hermano’s offers an energetic and upbeat atmosphere. This is a great place to start your evening, considering all of the lounges and bars that are within walking distance. However, if you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this may not be the place for that! The space is loud, but not at all obnoxious. Unfortunately, like all businesses in the exchange district, Hermano’s suffers from limited parking options.

The knowledgeable staff helps by sharing the most popular choices, explaining some unknown items and making suggestions. We decided to go with the La Boca Bricklayer Steak Sandwich and the Milanesa Sandwich (grilled chicken breast, ham, provolone and roasted red peppers). Although these items came off the lunch and late night section of the menu, they were definitely large and filling enough for dinnertime.
The steak sandwich was strongly seasoned, with bold flavors and the chicken was juicy and flavorful; accompanied perfectly by the roasted red peppers and provolone. Hermano’s is a place we’ll definitely revisit because it was difficult to narrow down our meal choices, there are still so many things we’d like to try. Our only complaint was that the service tended to be slow at times, with only a handful of staff tending to the full dining room.
Hermano’s Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a wonderfully unique dining experience and their South American infused flavors and menu provide for an alternative to your traditional steakhouse.
