Winnipeg Jets co-owner Mark Chipman always had a dream to bring a “Heritage Classic” to our city – and it looks like that dream will finally become a reality. Commissioner Gary Bettman has confirmed that Winnipeg will get an outdoor game in 2016.
It will most likely be held in February at Investors Group field. In a hockey format, IG Field would be able to hold 41,000 capacity. No specific details on the match up were revealed – but whoever it is.. it will be a COLD but amazing experience for all Winnipeg hockey fans!
