Basketball fans in Winnipeg will have the chance to meet the hometown team and enjoy a full weekend of hoops-themed activities as the Winnipeg Sea Bears take over CF Polo Park this June.
The Winnipeg Sea Bears Weekend Takeover takes place on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Centre Court inside the shopping centre. The free event will feature basketball games, mascot appearances, community activities, and opportunities to meet Sea Bears players in person.
Families, basketball fans, and CEBL supporters can stop by throughout the weekend to take part in interactive activities and celebrate Winnipeg’s professional basketball team.
Saturday’s events will focus on family-friendly fun with Churchill the mascot and the Sea Bears community team leading basketball activities for fans of all ages. Visitors can expect games, skills challenges, and plenty of opportunities for photos and entertainment.
On Sunday, fans will get the chance to meet Winnipeg Sea Bears players during the “Play with the Pros” experience. Sea Bears athletes will be on-site to meet fans, play basketball, and interact with visitors during the event.
