True North Sports & Entertainment Limited has officially announced the return of the Manitoba Moose.
Along with the name, the team will also use the former that was used by the Manitoba Moose for 15 years between 1996 and 2011 in both the IHL and AHL. However, some slight improvements and modifications have been made to it to adopt the colours of the Winnipeg Jets.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the American Hockey League back to Winnipeg,” said Mark Chipman, Chairman of the Board for True North Sports & Entertainment. “Given the support that our fans have demonstrated for the American Hockey League and Manitoba Moose in the past, coupled with the interest our fans have in our Winnipeg Jets prospects, we have no doubt there will be a strong interest in our season ticket campaign. It is with great anticipation that we look forward to showcasing the future Winnipeg Jets in an AHL environment, right here in Winnipeg.”
Pre-sale for season tickets will begin on Monday, May 4 at 11:00am and run until Thursday, May 7 at 10:00pm. It will be available to existing Winnipeg Jets Season Seat Holders, Share Partners, Wait List Members and Previous Manitoba Moose Customers.
Ticket prices for packages range from $15 to $25 per game. A Full Season Ticket will cost as low as $57 per month or a Mini Pack will start at $16.50 per month.
The general public on sale will begin on Friday, May 8 at 10:00am.
