Charm Diamond Centre has acquired Ben Moss Jewellers and will reopen 16 stores, including two in Winnipeg. The stores will continue to operate under the Ben Moss Jewellers name.
After more than 100 years, Ben Moss announced last year that it would be closing all locations in Canada. At one point the company had over 60 stores across the country.
The Ben Moss locations at Polo Park and Kildonan Place will remain open. The Garden City, St. Vital, and downtown locations will close.
Jeweller stores across the nation have seen an increase loss in sales due to cheaper prices being available online. Each day, over two million buyers are shopping online for jewelry.
