BCBG Max Azria, the upscale Women’s fashion retail chain, has filed for bankruptcy protection and will be closing 51 all stores in Canada.
They blame “adverse macro-trends, including a general shift away from brick-and-mortar to online retail channels” as the reason for bankruptcy.
There are two BCBG Max Azria locations in Winnipeg. One at CF Polo Park which opened in 2010, and another at St. Vital Centre which opened a year after.
Both stores will be closed and liquidated. Look for liquidation signs and sales soon.
