Jollibee is a Filipino fast-food chain dubbed the McDonalds of the Philippines.
There are 662,605 Canadians with ethnic origins in the Philippines. Winnipeg has the third largest Filipino community in Canada by total population, and the largest by percentage (8.7%).
There are currently over 1,500 Jollibee restaurants worldwide with 27 in Canada. The Winnipeg location at 1406 St. James Street was the first to open in Canada. It opened on December 15, 2016.
