The St. James Costco Warehouse will close permanently at 6:00pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
The long-standing warehouse, a staple for shoppers in the area, will soon be transformed into a Costco Business Centre, focusing on commercial and bulk supply needs rather than everyday consumer goods. When it reopens, shoppers can expect a smaller selection of products aimed at restaurants, offices, and small businesses. Popular items like clothing, seasonal décor, electronics, and the food court will no longer be available.
Store Closing Deals at Costco St. James
In the days leading up to the closure, the St. James Costco will feature a range of clearance deals as it prepares for the transition. While some markdowns will offer great savings for members, most of the remaining inventory will be moved to the brand-new location in Headingley.
New Costco Warehouse in Headingley
Opening the very next morning on November 13, the new Winnipeg Costco in Headingley will officially open. The brand-new facility will feature more parking, a streamlined layout, and a Costco Gas Station, something the St. James location never offered. The addition of the gas bar will bring extra convenience and value for members.
Although some long-time St. James customers may miss the familiar warehouse, the move represents a significant upgrade for Winnipeg shoppers – with better accessibility, new amenities, and a much larger footprint.
