Most Manitoba Provincial camp grounds will open today in preparation for May Long Weekend. It’s still a bit chilly to hit the beaches, but it makes great camping weather.
Personally, this is my favourite time to camp… not too hot, not many bugs/mosquitoes, and perfect weather to sit by the campfire.
Don’t forget, that for the second year in a row entrance to all Provincial Parks in Manitoba is free.
The province also announced that from May 20 – 24, 2010, Provincial camp grounds must be liquor-free.
