WestJet to Offer Direct Flights Between Winnipeg and Los Angeles Starting October 31, 2022

If you want to visit Disney Land, or just watch a Laker game… Winnipeggers will soon have an efficient and affordable option to fly to Los Angeles.

WestJet has announced that it will be offering a new route between Winnipeg and Los Angeles starting October 31, 2022. The flights will operate Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays all year.

The new direct service will reduce travel time between the cities by almost 50 per cent.

The Los Angeles route will be first major destination direct route to come out of Winnipeg Richardson International Airport since 2016. It’s expected to strengthen the ties between Hollywood and Manitoba’s film and TV industry which brought in $364.5 million last year.
