Alan Jackson with special guests Terri Clark and Hey Romeo

September 17, 2014 @ 7:00 pm

Country superstar Alan Jackson takes his tour with special guests, Terri Clark and Hey Romeo, to MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB, on Wednesday, September 17th.

Alan Jackson is one of the most successful and respected singer-songwriters in music. He is in the elite company of Paul McCartney and John Lennon among songwriters who’ve written more than 20 songs that they’ve recorded and taken to the top of the charts. Jackson is one of the 10 best-selling artists since the inception of SoundScan, ranking alongside the likes of Eminem and Metallica. His current album, The Bluegrass Album, was released September 24, 2013 and remains in the top of the charts after spending more than four months at #1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Album Sales Chart – this week it’s ranked #2.

Jackson has sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide, topped the country singles charts 35 times, and scored more than 50 Top-10 hits. He has written or co-written 24 of his 35 #1 hit singles. Jackson is a 18-time ACM Award winner, a 16-time CMA Award recipient, and a two-time Grammy-winning artist whose songwriting has earned him the prestigious ASCAP Founders Award and an induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame as a 2011 Songwriter/Artist inductee.

Jackson’s special guest, Terri Clark, is a five-time winner of CCMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year award. She’s made her mark in country music with over 20 singles, including six Number One songs in Canada and the USA – hits such as, “Better Things To Do”, “Poor Poor Pitiful Me”, “Girls Lie Too”, and “I Just Wanna Be Mad”.

Terri Clark is a dynamic, no-holds-barred live performer and one of the rare female country artists capable of throwing down some impressive guitar work. She has toured with such superstars as Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire, and George Strait. In addition, she continues to headline sold-out tours throughout Canada.

After forming in 2002, Hey Romeo have established themselves in the highly competitive Alberta country music scene. They have earned recognition at the CCMA’s, winning Group of the Year in 2011 & 2012, and also earning a nomination in 2013 for Video of the Year with the hit, “Maybe You Remember Me Now”. Over time, Hey Romeo have shared the stage with artists including Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Gord Bamford, and Johnny Reid.
