Here’s what’s open and what’s closed this Victoria Day long weekend.
Victoria Day is a federal Canadian statutory holiday celebrated on the last Monday on or before May 24, in honour of both Queen Victoria’s birthday.
Mall Closures:
* Polo Park – Open Noon – 6 p.m. on Victoria Day – Monday, May 23.
* St. Vital Centre – Open Noon – 6 p.m. on Victoria Day – Monday, May 23.
* Portage Place – Open Noon – 5 p.m. on Victoria Day – Monday, May 23.
* City Place – Closed on Victoria Day – Monday, May 23.
Recycling/Garbage Schedule
Single-family homes
There will be no recycling or garbage collection on Monday, May 23. Collection will resume on Tuesday, May 24 – Day 5 on the five-day cycle.
Multi-family apartments
Recycling and garbage collection will continue as normally scheduled.
Brady Road Landfill hours of operation
Saturday, May 21 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 22 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, May 23 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Libraries

Animal Services Agency

Leisure Centres

Swimming Pools
All pools are closed on Monday, May 23, except Pan Am Pool, open 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. and Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, open 2:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. Regular hours of operation are in effect for all pools on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.
