On June 30 , the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association will no longer license internet pharmacies. This is a huge blow to Manitoba’s economy as only pharmacies is a multi-million dollar industry that employs hundreds of Manitobans.
The move came with shock and without warning for many Online Pharmacy owners. Online pharmacies make millions with their number one customers being Americans south of the border. Americans use online pharmacies to get their prescriptions filled because Canadian pricing laws have a cap on how high prescription drugs can be sold.
Online pharmacists hope to extend the June 30 deadline to work out an agreement with the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association.
