This weekend the city hosts Canada’s only women’s national skateboard competition at the Forks. The event starts this Saturday at 11 am. The event features include a skateboard clinic for beginners, a demonstration and a full day of competition.
The group “Chicks Flip Out” was started by a Quebec team called The Rugged Riders. They wanted to organize a Canadian women’s branch for the sport.
So if you want to see some prime female skateboarding or want to learn more, head over to The Forks this weekend.
