Apple is recalling their first batch of Mini iPhone Power Adapters. According to Apple, the power adapter’s metal prongs can break off and remain in a power outlet, creating a risk of electric shock.
If your power adapter looks like the one pictured here (with a green dot) then you are SAFE and do not need to replace your adapter. But if your adapter doesn’t have the green dot then head here and fill out the form to receive a replacement adapter. You will need your iPhone’s serial number to proceed, it can be obtained while your phone is connected to iTunes.
The new adapters will start shipping on Friday, October 10.
