With the goal of raising funds for KidSport Manitoba, members of the Winnipeg Police Service will be facing the CFLPA Pro Players Alumni Allstarts in a charity softball game on Thursday (tonight!!!), July 16 at 7:00 p.m at the John Blumberg softball complex.

This is the 18th year the WPS All-Stars will participate in this game. To date more than $75,000.00 has been raised for KidSport Manitoba and other charities.

The CFL Pro Players line-up will include several local ex-Winnipeg Blue Bombers and CFL Hall-of-Famers such as Terry Evanshen, James Murphy, Willie Pless, Williard Reeves, Trevor Kennard, and others.

There will also be appearances by the Winnipeg Police Pipe Band, Cuffs the Winnipeg Police mascot, the Canine Unit as well as the Mounted Patrol Unit.

Tickets are $15.00 each or a family pack of 4 is available for $45.00. Children under 2 will receive free admission. All proceeds from the sale of game programs and 50/50 tickets go directly to KidSport Manitoba.

(Let’s hope the training academy isn’t where they’ve been practicing)
