Buskers Abound on Canada Day
Showcasing their magic, face painting, clowning and juggling, The Forks’ Buskers will be throughout the site all day to entertain the entire family.

4:00pm – 7:00pm: “Outside the Lines” Kids Arts & Crafts for Canada Day – Buskers Lookout
Make your own Canada Day magnets. Workshops run every half hour. Registration required.

12:00pm – 10:00pm: Indigenous Tribal Village – Oodena Celebration Circle
Watch beautiful aboriginal dancing, try some arts and crafts and much more.

Strike! Streetcar
Meet Strike! composer/producer Danny Schur and tour “Nellie” the full-size, 1919 streetcar replica built for the musical. Advance tickets to Strike! will be available inside the streetcar, south of the MTYP building.

Splash Dash Fireworks Tour
For only $10 you and your family can watch the spectacular fireworks from the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. Tickets are available at the Splash Dash Kiosk. Limited quantities so buy yours early.

10:00am – 4:00pm: Forks 6,000 Year BINGO and Birthday Cake! (Cake served beginning at 11:00 am)
Join in the Forks 6,000 year BINGO game and discover who has come before you to The Forks. Celebrate Canada Day by snacking on some Canada Day Cake. (Cake quantity limited).

10:00am – 4:00pm: Heritage Links Mini-Golf and Face Painting!
Learn about the 9 National Parks and Historic Sites in Manitoba through a fun game of mini-golf. People of all ages can have a blast on this `Manitoba shaped` mini-golf course. (Weather permitting).

1:30pm in English, 3:30pm in French: “Mike’s Bloody Saturday” 1919 General Strike Theatrical Walking Tour
It’s June 1919, and Winnipeggers are taking to the streets in a General Strike that will bring the fast-growing city to its knees. Spend an hour with new Canadian Mike Sokolowski as he searches for work on this interactive theatrical walking tour.

The Stage fires up with local up and coming high school bands, followed by the winners of Power 97’s Rockin’ the 204 contest featuring 3 of Manitoba’s finest indie bands. The dynamic and captivating Winnipeg based Duhks take to the stage and the evening is capped off with an exhilarating performance by the full Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (supported by Telpay).
