Spring is here, and so are road trips down to North/South Dakota and Minnesota, which is why there isn’t a better time to buy US currency than now. The dollar closed at 98.98 on Wednesday, which almost makes it par to the US dollar (minus bank fees).

Analysts say that the dollar could remain this strong for months, and maybe even years. It is expected to break the one-dollar mark again as it did in 2007, but instead of dropping, it should keep its value this time.

What does this mean to us Winnipegers? Well we can enjoy some cheap online shopping for a while. As well as enjoy the road trips down to the States to buy some cheap goods that you can’t buy here in Canada. Fire up them eBay accounts!
