This weekend is a busy one for downtown. Five events have been planned to take place on Broadway and Memorial Park and will extend to Assinaboine Park and The Forks.

Lighting Design Competition:
World renowned lighting designers has created a lighting display along Broadway. This event will be taking place September 11th and 12th in the evening.

Taste of Downtown Winnipeg:
Wine, food and cheese will be offered at this event taking place in Memorial Park on September 10th from 11am-10pm, September 11th from 11am-10pm, September 12 from 1pm-6pm. Admission is free and tickets for the beverages and food will be sold at the event in support of Winnipeg Harvest.

The Big Dance on Broadway:
On Saturday September 11th from 4pm until 11pm there will be two stages playing various genres of music.

Winnipeg 10+10:
You can take your pick of either a 10km or 10 mile run that starts and ends in Memorial Park. This event is taking place Sunday  September 12th from 1am-1am.

Ciclovia:
This is the second year for Ciclovia which is an event in support of active transportation and fitness. There will be free yoga, a farmers market, numerous activities for kids, bike zone, music and much more all the way from The Forks to Assinaboine Park! Most of the entertainment will be taking place along Broadway, however roads will be closed to accommodate the cyclists, walkers and runners traveling between Assinaboine Park and the Forks. There will also be a bike valet at the event on September 11th from 3pm until Midnight and September 12th from 6.30am to 7.30pm near Memorial Park.
