The Winnipeg Police Service and Manitoba Public Insurance are once again offering free motor vehicle inspections on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 11:00am – 5:00pm at the MPI Centre on 420 Pembina Hwy.

MPI’s last free vehicle inspection was very popular. Vehicles were lined up around the block and continued none stop until shortly after 5:00pm – numerous vehicles had to be turned away. A total of 77 vehicles were inspected. Of those, only 27 passed.

The inspection is to assist motorists in getting their vehicles to Manitoba standards. No offence notices or tickets will be issued. [WINNIPEG FREE PRESS]
