The City wants to remind everyone that there are various outdoor activities at City parks and facilities this holiday season. These City-run activities are fun for the whole family.

Regional Park Skating Rinks

Kildonan Park – 2015 Main Street.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The rink is now located beside the toboggan slides (north of the pavilion) due to pending renovations at the Peguis Pavilion. Change facilities will only be open until renovations begin at the pavilion.
Harbourview Recreation Complex – 1867 Springfield Road.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Change facilities available.
St. Vital Park Duck Pond – 190 St. Vital Road.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Change facilities available.

Pleasure Rinks

Twenty-four (24) smaller neighbourhood pleasure rinks are maintained for public use. While most of these rinks are now available, some are still being established.

Toboggan Hills

Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Civic Park – 901 Kimberley Avenue
Victoria Jason Park (Crocus Park) – 255 Redonda Street
Kilcona Park – 1229 Springfield Road. A shared use park, the toboggan run is located adjacent to off-leash area. Look for signage posted
Westview Park – 21 Midland Street. A shared use park, watch for signs indicating areas to use for sliding.

The following facilities are currently closed due to lack of snow:

Toboggan Slides (Closed)

Kildonan Park, Waterfront Drive, Bunn’s Creek Park, St. Vital Park, Crescent Drive Park and Fraser’s Grove Park.

Cross Country Ski Trails (Closed)

The lack of snow has prevented proper grooming of the City’s cross-country ski trails. An adequate base is required for trail preparation and maintenance.
